Ghost of the Himalayas

Drawing inspired by the creation of Kittiya Pawlowski, an American photographer and digital artist.

Her adventure in search of this elusive animal begins in the rocky landscape of the Himalayas, in north-central Nepal and, more specifically, in the Annapurna Conservation Area where she finds the first evidence of a snow leopard’s passage. From there, his journey continues into Sagarmantha National Park. After 165km of walking under snow and sun, cold and scorching heat, uphill and downhill, exhausted and enthusiastic, she finally spots a beautiful snow leopard in the distance and captures a beautiful specimen with her lens.

I decided to depict the leopard in black, almost like a shadow, because of its rarity and the difficulty of sighting it.
